There’s been a lot of talk on this blog about SpoonerSpot. We’ve talked about how to Spot, we’ve talked about how to Follow and we’ve even talked about a few strategies for gathering new followers for your account. But what exactly is a Spooner supposed to Spot? Is SpoonerSpot meant to help you document your life? Is it meant to talk about the things you want to do? Are you supposed to “check-in” like on a few other sites you’ve probably heard of? Is it a travel site? A review site? An event calendar?

 

Well that’s definitely a lot of questions. Fortunately they’re easy questions to answer because the answer to all of them is “yes”! SpoonerSpot is whatever you want it to be! So today we’re going to talk about a few different things that you can do as a Spooner on SpoonerSpot!

 

The first one seems to be the most obvious, and that’s to Spot your life. So far the first round of testers went straight to this great idea, Spotting the places they grew up, their favorite places to eat and spend time, their schools, vacation Spots and more! There’s something noticeably fun about documenting the best and most memorable moments of your life in a way that lets the whole world see what you’ve accomplished.

 

After you’ve laid out the highlights of your life, it’s time to look towards the future! Have you ever seen your favorite team play a home game? Maybe you’re planning a trip to some exotic location? Is there a show coming up soon that you can’t wait to see? Spot them! Whether it be the stadium of that team, the hotel you’re visiting or the venue for the show, every place on the Earth has the potential to be your Spot! Start talking about what you want to do there, or maybe ask for some pointers on the best place to get to that Spot. Whatever your goal, just create a new Spot on that location and let the conversation start. It’s amazing how active Spooners are and the SpoonerSpot community is a great way to get the information you need to plan out (or brag about) the future!

 

Of course there’s something to be said about being in the moment and letting people know what’s going on with your life right now! Well, SpoonerSpot is looking out for you there too! Have you ever been walking down the street and seen something absolutely crazy? A clown driving a motorcycle? A car shaped like a Twinkie? Some amazing but completely random fireworks show? Again, why not Spot it? Spotting is for you to document your life, and your life takes place in this moment right now! We don’t want you to miss that!
